报告人简介：
He is currently President of the Italian Chemical Society for the term 2014-2016, after having been Vice-President (2011-2013), President and Vice-President of the Division of Organic Chemistry (2008-2010 and 2005-2007).
He obtained his doctoral degree in 1972, from the University of Napoli (Italy). After postdoctoral researches at Institute for Molecules of Biological Interest,Italy; University of Hawaii, USA; Columbia University, NY, USA, he joined as Researcher at the Institute MIB CNR, Italy. He was appointed as Associated Professor at the University of Napoli in 1987, and promoted to Full Professor of University of Salerno in 1994.
He has been visiting scientist at Cornell University (1981); Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla CA USA (1990); University of Hawaii at Manoa, HI USA (1993); Bruxelles University, Bruxelles Belgium; Uppsala University, Uppsala Sweden.
报告摘要：
His research interests have been mainly devoted to: a) the discovery and the chemical and pharmacological investigation of bioactive natural products as lead compounds in the area of antiviral, antitumoral, antiinflammatory and immunomodulant activities; b) the stereochemical analysis of flexible organic molecules by NMR and computational approaches; c) the investigation of the molecular mechanism of action of bioactive natural products and of ligand-receptor interactions by NMR and MS techniques, combined with computational tools.
