报告人简介:陆天尧博士1974年毕业于美国芝加哥大学,2006年起任台湾大学讲座教授,是国际知名的高分子化学家。先后担任台湾中央研究院化学研究所特聘研究员兼所长,日本京都大学和德国马普煤炭研究所客座教授。获得中国化学会(台湾)学术奖、日本学术振兴会JSPS Fellow、教育部国家讲座、教育部学术奖、行政院杰出科学技术人才奖、国科会杰出研究奖等荣誉。担任Chem. Commun.、Chem. Eur. J.、J. Organomet. Chem.等期刊谘询委员和Chem. Asian J. 期刊编辑委员。研究兴趣包括有机合成方法,新颖高分子设计及合成,高分子材料化学,有机光电材料。在Acc. Chem. Res. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Chem. Comm.、Chem. Eur. J.、Macromolecules等重要国际期刊上发表学术论文272篇,专利7项,专著1部。
报告内容简介:Metal-carbene-catalyzed ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) furnishes a powerful arsenal for the synthesis of various polycycloalkenes. Polynorbornene- and polycyclobutene-based double stranded ladderphanes having rigid plannar aromatic, antiaromatic, as well as three dimensional organic and organometallic linkers are obtained from ROMP of the corresponding strained bis-cycloalkenes. These ladderphanes can easily form two-dimensional arrays on graphite surface. Unsymmetrical ladderphanes are obtained by replication protocol or by sequential polymerization of a monomer containing two polymerizable groups. Hydrolytic cleavage of unsymmetrical ladderphanes offers another route for the synthesis various kinds of polymers with well-controlled degree of polymerization and polydispersity. When two norbornene moieties are linked by a flexible linker, cascade metathetical cyclopolymerization takes place to give the corresponding single stranded polynorbornenes. The use of such oligonorbornenes with hammock-like crown ether pendants as artificial transmembrane ion channel will be discussed.
